Wow!!! How is that for a "break" from blogging? Six months have gone by and I think I'm ready to jump back in.
So what has been going on? My sister has gotten engaged. How does this effect my life? Well, first I'm very happy for her and will hopefully have a baby to cuddle soon after the vows. Second, she has asked me to be her Maid of Honor, which is wonderful except that every other lovely lady in the wedding party is a skinny beyotch!!!! I say that with the most lovingly tone as they are all FABULOUS girls!!!!
So, she was engaged in October and the wedding is in May. Why on earth would I get serious about losing weight until 3 months before the big day? I am big on counting "something" while trying to drop some pounds whether it be calories, fat grams , points, etc. So I started counting points last week....you know, the whole weight watchers thing. Why did I choose this method? Simply because the other two weren't working this time around. I'm still doing cardio (not killing myself, just a mere mile or so), strength training (push ups, squats, lunges, dips, etc.) and making a LOT better food choices (this has really been my downfall since I LOVE sweets and carbs). So, I have dropped 4.4lbs this week!!!! I know it's not healthy to drop more than 2 per week, but let's face it, I was eating crap before and most of that is probably water weight!!!
My kids have been passing a "viral infection" back and forth for the past month and it is getting rather irritating. At least we haven't had the "pukey" flu yet. That is one thing I can't stand!!!
I am in the process of planning a bachelorette party. Any ideas/input would be greatly appreciated.......
