Aloha Friday

Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.
I LOVE summer and with the temperature hitting 63 yesterday and going back there again today.....I am getting the itch!!!! I love opening my windows and getting fresh air in the house!!! Grilling out and hearing the kids playing on their swingset. Sand in my toes......you get the picture!!!!

The other day Little "J" came out looking like this telling me she "looked like Uncle Matt". Obviously Uncle Matt wears his hat backwards often and she has picked up on it!!!

I knew I wasn't crazy when I joined on the coupon bandwagon. Clipping coupons and watching sales have saved our family a lot of money. Dr. Phil's show yesterday was dedicated to the trying economic times and how to stretch your dollar farther. They mentioned another site that I wasn't aware of called the CouponBug. It's just another place to access coupons regularly. I guess I get so excited because we NEED to cut $$ in our budget but I really do like a great deal!!!! Like this week at Walgreen's they will PAY you $1.04 to come in and pick up a tube of Colgate toothpaste!!!! That is insane to me!!!

Spring Cleaning!!!!!

Do you do Spring Cleaning?

I was forced into starting mine this past week and I am on a roll!!! Not only are we cleaning but also re-organizing. Junk drawers are being transformed into "help" drawers and closets are being sifted through to weed out the "outgrown" section and packed away for the garage sale.

Honestly, the sunshine helps to keep me motivated........it puts me in a happy place and I WANT things to be really "cleaned" and gutted so we can enjoy the warm weather when it gets here. I normally would not have started on March 1st but I wasn't given an option this year.

I have NEVER been so Excited!!!!!

Are you sitting down?!!!! We have decided to purchase a carpet shampooer!!!!! I have always told my hubby that you don't purchase your wife "household appliances" for holidays. Funny how things change over time because had he asked me what I wanted for our anniversary ..........I would have told him a carpet shampooer!!!

Sure, I know people that have them and are more than willing to let me borrow them. BUT, when you really need one (like after the week I have just had with 2 small children and bodily fluids!!!) you don't want to have to go pick it up, right?!!!!

So imagine my excitement when I opened the TARGET flyer this morning and saw the carpet cleaner that is usually $250 on sale for $149 WITH a $20 giftcard and I have a $20 giftcard already!!!! That is like $110 out the door!!!! I am going to have the cleanest carpets in town!!!!

Not a bad way to spend my tax refund and you are welcome Mr. President for me doing my part in stimulating the economy!!!!
