Never wonder what to cook again....

Let me first start by saying I am NOT a Pampered Chef consultant. I do enjoy their products and I haven't really tasted anything that I didn't like at any of the parties I have been to. So I was pretty excited when I stumbled on this website filled with over 500 pampered chef recipes!!!! Just add this page to your favorites and visit anytime you are looking for a new idea!!!! I did attend a pampered chef party last week and we had some kind of chipotle chicken cups and they were YUMMY!!!!!! I don't see that recipe on this site as of yet but I think it is because the chipotle seasoning is new for this fall. When I get my hands on that recipe, I will post for you to try.

Some Fun Things to try....

Ok.....doesn't every mom think their kids are just adorable?!!!!! Well, I am no different!!!! Other than saving money, my next passion is photography. My son had 5 scrapbooks before he was one and they were filled with cute photos. I have all of the cute photos of Jaise......they're just not into a scrapbook yet and she is now 2 1/2. Anyway, I decided to enter her into a "baby photo contest"........I am not playing favorites here.....I have great photos of Jake too, but they have a birth date cutoff and he has reached it. Anyway, check out Jaise's photo here and if you like it.....vote. If not, that is fine too. I am sure that I am not the only one out there with cute kids. So if you want to enter, you can follow the link on the sidebar and then let me know so I can check out your munchkin.

House Party is another fun site that I wanted to tell you about, if you don't already know. You simply go to their site and see what parties/events that they have coming up. You can apply (fill out a survey) for as many as you want. If you are selected, they will send a box filled with goodies that are related to your party, you invite all of your friends over and give them goodies. There is a wide range from cooking parties to tv premiers, scrapbooking, fisher price, etc. They will tell you when you need to have it and you decide the rest. I just signed up for a Ford Warriors In Pink and Betty Crocker Cookie Swap event. I have signed up for about 4 others and have yet to be chosen, but I still keep applying. I know some who have been chosen and it was a ton of fun. Check them out if you want more information.

Bath and Body Works

I will admit that I have not been into a Bath and Body Works for quite a while, so not sure if these are "new", however, they are new to me. They have something called a "scentportable" - clip and go fragrance unit - perfect for a closet, car, etc. Having small children, I loved it when the Reed Diffusers came out because I could have a nice scent and not worry about the flame and now I think I am going to enjoy these scentportables just as much!!! They come in many scents, they say they last up to 6 weeks and they are $5. They would make great stocking stuffers and right now, the stores are adding a coupon to your bag with any purchase. The coupon begins October 17th and is for a FREE Signature Collection or Holiday Tradition item up to $12 with ANY purchase. The holiday scents they are showing on the coupon are Vanilla bean noel; winter candy apple and twisted peppermint. Also, on my receipt, a coupon for $10 off your next $30 purchase for completing a survey. Don't forget that if you sign up to receive email on their website, they will send you a coupon for a FREE 2 oz lotion.

Ask your Pediatrician....

If you don't already know about the "flu mist" as opposed to the flu shot, you might want to talk to your pediatrician about it. I know that my 7 year old was thrilled with this new technology last year!!!! I just received a small packet from Vocalpoint regarding this with some good information in it. Here are some questions you might want to ask:
~How does the mist differ from the shot?
~Do you recommend the FluMist for my child?
~What are the side-effects of the mist?
~Who should not get the mist?

Jake did receive the FluMist last year and we personally had no side effects or problems at all......not to mention a very happy boy that didn't have to get a shot!!! Jaise could not get it last year since she was under 2 years old and children under 24 months are not eligible to receive it.
It was really simple where they spray the mist into both nostrils and I forget how long, but for a certain amount of time, they can't blow their nose.
Just something to think about as we get closer to flu season.

Today's Trip..

Today's trip to Walgreen's was a quick one but still worth my time. Here is what we got:
One Crest Mouthwash 500ml
Six Clorox wipes containers
One Gallon of Milk
2 Oreo Double Stuff Cookie Packages
2 Reach Ultra Clean Toothbrushes
2 Glade Plug-in refills
2 zooth toothbrushes (one hot wheels and one hello kitty)

Total before sales, coupons, rebates, etc. $63.69.......AFTER coupons, rebates, etc. $11.20 WITH $12.50 in RR to spend on my next purchase.......so, technically, a profit of $1.30
I was thrilled with the clorox wipes sale since we were completely out. I didn't NEED the Reach toothbrushes but they were on sale for 2/$5 with a $5 RR and I just can't pass up FREE!!!! The zooth toothbrushes also were not needed but they were on clearance and Jake is very into Hot wheels right now.........so a good motivator to keep teeth clean is always good with me. I also don't use the Glade Plug-Ins, but people I do know use them and with my coupon and rebate, I made a profit of $1.51 on 2 packages and I REALLY can't pass up profit!!!!!
Walgreens does really make their Rebate program simple. I have submitted all of my rebates online. When I come home and know I have a purchased something that qualifies for a rebate, I enter it right then. This way I don't take the chance of not being able to find my receipt. If I forget to hit submit at the end of the month, they will automatically submit it for me. A check comes in the mail in 2-3 weeks and if you have it put onto a Walgreen's gift card it is loaded within days for your use AND they will also give you a 10% bonus if you choose the gift card...........can you say FREE MONEY?!!!!
