HFH Update

Well, I am beginning to believe that there is something to the "eat healthy and exercise" idea. You know how they say that if you don't eat, skip meals, etc. that your body will freak out and "hold" onto the fat in your body? Well, this week I had 2 days of nothing but liquids, broth, jello, ect. and the next day was bumped up to crackers and noodle soup. So, I am pretty sure my body said "what ta heck is goin' on?" I wish it was a bigger number but I am still happy with losing 2.5lbs.
As for my favorites, I really enjoy the Shape Bikini Body Boot Camp Dvd and the "Gunner" DVD's. It's nice to have a change of pace when the treadmill or elliptical machine get boring. Check out Baby Tea Leaves for more HFH results.

Things I Have Learned About Having Surgery

First off, surgery was a success. There was a minor complication that made surgery twice as long as was normally expected, but that's why we pay the doc the big bucks, right?!! My doctor, by the way, is the absolute BEST!!!! There cannot be enough said about your relationship with your doctor.
There are a few things I have learned about having surgery:

~don't piss off anesthesia

~my clothes are still way more comfortable than the "gown"

~when you haven't eaten for 2 days, the hospital serves the best tastin' chicken broth in town!!!

~be nice to your nurse; she is in control of your pain medication

~no matter what button you push, the hospital bed just is not comfortable

~I am a major BLOGOHOLIC and have suffered serious withdrawals

~everyone should have a best friend that will work all day long and then bring you a biggby coffee and sit with you until the doctor shows up at 8pm to discharge you!!!

Seriously, I do have the best family in the world. My husband has kept up with the kids, the house, the lawn, the groceries and done it all with a smile. This is the longest period of time I have gone without changing a diaper in 3 years!!!!! My parents have taken my kids and have done fun things with them so they wouldn't worry or think about mommy not being there, not to mention the flowers and gorgeous plant that they gave me. I have had numerous people call and offer "anything" that I needed........hey, maybe I should take this offer a little more seriously!!!

I am pretty sure I won't be offering to have any major surgery again EVER in my lifetime.

MIA for a few days....

The deals and steals will have to wait for a few days as I am going in tomorrow morning for surgery. I KNOW I will go through bloggin' withdrawals!!
Isn't is funny how these past few days I have:
~ done every stitch of laundry in this house (seriously, the only dirty clothes in here are the ones on our back!!!!!)
~I have cooked 4 meals and put them into the freezer.
~I have laid out my son's school clothes for the rest of the week.
~We have packed his lunch for the rest of the week.
~I have left a detailed list of what time he gets on the bus, off the bus, football practice, etc.
Now I am thinking........if this could be used as a time for me to be appreciated for all I do around here, then I shouldn't have done anything on that list!!!! Ha!! I am sure we will all survive with Mommy being down for a few days.
I am really hoping for a big number in my Hot for the Holidays weigh in on Friday!!! Not exactly the best way I would suggest to drop a few pounds however!!!

Menu Plan Monday

Sunday we made Mini Cini's from Mommy's Kitchen. She has some yummy recipes over there!! Mine actually looked like hers too!!! (The rest of the day we ate leftovers since I was busy getting things done for this week)

Monday: BIG Salads~ we add crispy chicken bites, tomato, cheese, croutons, egg, carrot, ......anything that makes you happy!!!

Tuesday: Mini Meatloaf Logs, Mac -N- Cheese, Green Beans

Wednesday:Beef Burritos, chips and salsa

Thursday: Baked Spaghetti and garlic bread

Friday:Chicken Bow Tie Pasta

Saturday: Pizza
