Aloha Friday

Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

I LOVE a yummy cocktail.....you know, the kind where you can't even tell there is alcohol in it until you are already at that "happy" place. My favorite right now is

Peach Sangria:

White zinfandel

Peach Schnapps

a little pineapple juice

a little 7-up

This is soooo yummy. I tried it first at Applebee's and conned the bartender into giving me the recipe. If we have a get together I will make a pitcher of it and put oranges, apples, cherries, etc in it as well.

Fitness Friday

Trainer Matt is not on my life insurance policy, but I am pretty sure he is trying to kill me!!!!! I continued with my cardio every day except Tuesday. Why did I take Tuesday off you ask? Because I was told on Monday to do a 10k......for those of you who were not aware of how long a 10k is.....it is 6.4 flippin' miles....and if you don't think that .4 of a mile makes a difference.......trust me, IT DOES!!!!!! But I did it and Tuesday I told him to go to hell!!!!

I felt yesterday like I would rather have a root canal than to get on that treadmill and do my weights, but I did it. I think this is the time of year when all of those new year's resolutions go right out the window until next January 1st.

With all of that I have absolutely no change in measurements or weight to report. But hey, no change means no gain either.

Would you like to have your photo fiddled with? Oprah does...

This is my photo that was fiddled with and put on a stretch canvas!!! I had over 20 special effects to choose from for my final product!!!!

I came across a photo website that is pretty darn cool. Here is the bottom line: you send them your favorite photo and they "fiddle" with it and send you back a preview for approval. You can choose from abstract finishes to oil painting effects and they come in various sizes.

Here is a little background on the company:

The Photofiddle.com site went online in June 2004 and not to long after the launch they received a bit of press from the Washington Post, USA Today, PC Magazine & more. The Washington Post called them "buzz worthy", USA Today reviewed their photo on canvas and picked them as the best, and PC Mag rated them 4 out of 5 stars. What really put Photofiddle.com on the map was when Oprah put them on the O list in 2006. Since then we have become one of the top sites on the Internet. Their current Alexa traffic rating is 182,995. More recently, the Today Show picked Photofiddle.com as a great DIY decorating idea, the CBS Early Show featured them as a best Mother's Day gift idea, and the New York Times editor wrote a great article including Photofiddle.com. Photofiddle.com was recently voted by the viewers of the CNBC show "The Next Big Idea" as a million dollar idea.
