The Tree!!!

I love our tree!! It has only white lights on it and since I am such a photo freak, it has a TON of photo ornaments and each year we add more. We pick our favorites from the past year to add to the tree.

However, we also have the handmade ornaments, which are just priceless to me. This is Jake's snowman that he made in kindergarten. I LOVE getting the Christmas gifts that he makes in school. It's hard to imagine that a piece of paper and some crayons could make me so happy!!

We also try to get a personalized ornament, but this doesn't happen every year, if I can't find a cute one. These are our bears. We have one ornament with 2 bears that is just my hubby's and my name, then 3 bears with us and Jake and then our completed family of all four.

I have each of my kids' handprints and then there are four special ones that they White House puts out every year from when my hubby was on Presidential Guard Duty in the USMC. I guess the theme of our tree is our family journey.

Check out more trees at We are THAT family and An Island Life.

We have lots of photo ornaments on ours, too.

I think we might have to start putting some pictures on our tree! That could turn into quite the trip down memory lane as they get older.

To me, there is nothing better than a hand made ornament. My mom still has some of mine from pre-school and I am 40!!

Great Gift Idea
