Random Tuesday Thoughts

Wow!!! How is that for a "break" from blogging? Six months have gone by and I think I'm ready to jump back in.

So what has been going on? My sister has gotten engaged. How does this effect my life? Well, first I'm very happy for her and will hopefully have a baby to cuddle soon after the vows. Second, she has asked me to be her Maid of Honor, which is wonderful except that every other lovely lady in the wedding party is a skinny beyotch!!!! I say that with the most lovingly tone as they are all FABULOUS girls!!!!

So, she was engaged in October and the wedding is in May. Why on earth would I get serious about losing weight until 3 months before the big day? I am big on counting "something" while trying to drop some pounds whether it be calories, fat grams , points, etc. So I started counting points last week....you know, the whole weight watchers thing. Why did I choose this method? Simply because the other two weren't working this time around. I'm still doing cardio (not killing myself, just a mere mile or so), strength training (push ups, squats, lunges, dips, etc.) and making a LOT better food choices (this has really been my downfall since I LOVE sweets and carbs). So, I have dropped 4.4lbs this week!!!! I know it's not healthy to drop more than 2 per week, but let's face it, I was eating crap before and most of that is probably water weight!!!

My kids have been passing a "viral infection" back and forth for the past month and it is getting rather irritating. At least we haven't had the "pukey" flu yet. That is one thing I can't stand!!!

I am in the process of planning a bachelorette party. Any ideas/input would be greatly appreciated.......

Not Me Monday

I did NOT jump for joy and want to kiss MckMama when I discovered on her site the whole "blurry" background post!!!!! WTH?!!!! I can totally do that. Thank You MckMama for teaching me the best trick out there......here is my homework......

I am NOT paying the price for being a "laid back" mama all summer and ready to pull my hair out at bedtime to attempt to get the kids on semi-routine for school starting in 2 weeks!!!!

I am also NOT putting off organizational projects in my house for no reason whatsoever........ugh....I wish I had a genie!!!!

Random Tuesday Thoughts

I have missed my random thoughts on Tuesday's so here it goes.....

*I am wishing that I had paid more attention in computer class. Why? Well, I decided to put my little photography hobby into a really small business to see how it goes. I was talking to a friend who did this a couple years back and she told me I needed a website........so I got one. I feel like it's my first day on a new job. I want it to be perfect and yet there is so much to do and fix and tweak!!!! If you want to take a look.......check it out here. I really hope that link works!!!!

*Big "J" started his first year of "tackle" football. All of his friends are nervous. His dad tells him, "Just make sure you hit the other guy harder before they hit you"

*I had a beautiful garden this year. I was weeding it AND watering it. I was down there last week picking beans and guess what I saw? A SNAKE!!!! The garden can rot now......
