Today is day 2 of the party and man was yesterday FUN!!!! I found so many new blogs that I didn't know even existed!! So, today's question is about Traditions.
We have some traditions that are old and some are new. I always put up decorations and our tree the day after Thanksgiving. Christmas is my favorite holiday and I love it when my house is filled with Christmas decorations and memories. We always, since I can remember, make sugar cookies about a week before Christmas Eve. We deliver some to family and friends and we keep some for the family get together. My grandpa's birthday was on Christmas Eve and since he passed away six years ago, the ENTIRE family has went to his grave site Christmas Eve to light a wreath and pray and then we ALL (I mean like 30+ of us!!) go back to grandma's house. It's a good thing she has a huge farm house.
Then, since I am the only one in my immediate family that has kids right now, my parents, brother and sister all come to our home Christmas morning for everyone to open presents. We usually do it pretty early. When I was growing up, my dad was a dairy farmer and he would finish milking the cows around 6am and we would all be up waiting for him to get home. So, we have kind of kept that tradition going. We open presents at the crack of dawn and then eat breakfast and then we are all usually passed out all over the living room!!!! Then, it's over for another year!!!

Aw what great traditions you have! We also open gifts at the crack of dawn, mainly b/c I have kids and they get up then, LOL!
Dang, that is early! LOL We try to sleep in as long as my son will let us around here.
I'm sorry about your loss, but remembering him every Xmas Eve sounds very special.
That's so nice your whole family goes to see your grandpa like that. Must have been a wonderful man. Here's My Day 2! I have Mr. Linky up, so leave your link!
Sounds like some nice traditions!
This is like the 4th blog I've seen the tradition of puting up the tree on Black Friday. We're so late. lol
My dad was a dairy farmer, so we were always waiting on him too so that we could open gifts. I was so lucky that my son slept in til 9 last year. It was nice to get some sleep before the chaos.
What a wonderful tradition you have to honor your Grandfather. That must be beautiful to witness.
I am so not a morning person. Even as a kid I wouldn't get up at the crack of dawn for Christmas Eve. That is early!
